Ghent during the summer festival which i got to see.A few years ago my family and I went on a roadtrip. We visited Greece, Lithuania and from there drove across Poland, stayed for a few days in Austria and contiued to Germany. Even if I went on listing the beautiful countries we vsited the truth is that what I will remember forever is Belgium and especially the small city of Genth.
It was pure luck and coincidence that brought us to Ghent right when a big festival was approaching. When we herd what was coming we decided to stay a few days longer. Those were the best days of my summer. It was fantastic. One day you go for a walk in this small tranquil town filled with old yet beautiful buildings and on the other you find yourself in a completely opposite situation. All throughout the town there were stages built. Decorations and crowds of people everywhere. There were all kind of performances and each time I turned around I saw new and different ones.
An interesting fact is that in 2005 1.5 million people attended the festival making it the biggest openair evet of festive origin and I was a part of it.
